Robinho Stays, Huntelaar To Come
The Real Madrid president is having a busy week, as he looks to add the Dutch striker to Bernd Sc
huster’s squad, while fending off a bid from Chelsea for one the club’s stars.
Robinho is reported to have gone to Calderón’s house to tell him face-to-face that he wanted to leave the Bernabéu and move to Chelsea after the Blues made an improved offer for him.
But the Brazilian was left disappointed after the Merengues’ supremo left no room for negotiations and told the player that there was no chance of that happening, according to Marca.
While Robinho is set to stay, Madrid are keen to add to their ranks and Calderón and sporting director Predrag Mijatovic are set to approach Ajax about Huntelaar.
Madrid have around €25m to put to the Dutch club for their striker, which is an amount that they are confident will be seen as to good to turn down.
